Staff Network Architect
in the Payload and Ground Systems Division Engineering organization supporting Integrated National Systems (INS) Business Unit (BU). This position is located in
Aurora, CO . Description
In this role, the successful candidate will design and plan network communication systems. Provide specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture. Troubleshoot and isolate network faults and failures in a LAN/WAN environment. Provide specific detailed information for hardware and software selections, implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conduct testing of network design. An understanding of dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, BGP and EIGRP is a plus. Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.). Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance network capabilities. Build deployable field units in Aurora as part of this role. Candidates must be willing to voluntarily submit to a polygraph if required after employment. Candidates are required to travel a minimum of 20%. Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 10+ years, or PhD with 8+ years; an additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree requirement. Active Top Secret/SCI at time of application, and willingness to sit for a Full Scope polygraph Candidates are required to be Security+ certified Candidates are required to travel a minimum of 20% Experience with LAN/WAN and OSPF/BGP/EIGRP Switches, firewall, and router hardware and software knowledge Encryption knowledge Preferred Qualifications
Current adjudicated Full Scope polygraph Security+ certified Maintain technical expertise in all areas of network and software interconnections and interfacing (routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.). Evaluate and report on new communication technologies to enhance capabilities of the network. Compensation and Benefits
Primary Level Salary Range: $155,500.00 - $233,300.00. The salary range represents a general guideline; offers depend on scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions.
