We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
to join a small, growing real estate investment firm in Chicago. This is a hybrid position based in our client's office in Chicago's Loop. The CFO will be a strategic partner to the owners while also managing day-to-day accounting functions. Base pay range
$150,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr Key Responsibilities
Financial & Operational Accounting:
Manage the full cycle of accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and the complete month-end and year-end close processes. Financial Planning & Analysis:
Lead all budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling. Provide in-depth analysis of financial performance and portfolio management to drive strategic decisions. Financial Reporting:
Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal and external stakeholders. Treasury & Cash Management:
Oversee all treasury functions, including cash flow management, banking relationships, and debt financing. Strategic Leadership:
Act as a key advisor to the firm's owners on strategic initiatives, acquisitions, and investment performance. Qualifications
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, ideally with a background in
real estate
or
financial services . Skills:
Proven ability to manage all finance and accounting functions independently in a small-team environment. Strong analytical and technical skills. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. A
CPA
is a significant plus. Mindset:
A hands-on, detail-oriented professional who is a strategic thinker and comfortable wearing multiple hats. This role offers a competitive base compensation of
$150,000 - $180,000 , with the potential for a bonus. Details
