Manage the development and execution of the organization ?s social media strategy and content calendar. Collaborate with the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) team and other departments to ensure timely and relevant content. Generate ideas to maximize effectiveness of social media across channels. Monitor trends across social platforms, tools, and design strategies; enforce brand standards and provide training as needed. Serve as a resource for IFT departments, regional sections, and topic-based divisions on social media needs. Develop and curate a balance of informative and promotional content from internal and external sources, ensuring appropriate messaging by channel. Coordinate with in-house production/design staff to secure engaging graphics and multimedia. Collaborate with the Sr. Manager, Media and Public Relations to amplify media mentions and support media relations. Demonstrate strong writing, grammar, and attention to detail; ensure content is accurate and up-to-date, including fact checks as needed. Adhere to the in-house writing style guide and provide grammar/style guidance as needed. Manage IFT ?s social media profiles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels as requested) and engage with followers. Monitor brand presence and engage in influencer outreach and community management as appropriate. Plan and manage paid social media campaigns, including targeting and optimization to improve performance and reach target audiences. Track and report on organic and paid social media metrics, including brand exposure, website traffic, membership/product conversion, and engagement; use analytics to refine the content calendar. Ensure target audiences are clearly understood and stay up-to-date on food science and technology trends to identify opportunities. Ensure compliance with industry and legal regulations and company processes and procedures. Qualifications
Bachelor ?s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related field. 5+ years of hands-on experience planning, implementing, and evaluating social media programs, including social ad campaigns. 3+ years of experience with multiple channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube) within integrated organizational communication efforts. 3+ years of experience creating and managing social ad campaigns with audience targeting and performance optimization for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. 3+ years of knowledge of current social media best practices for B2B and B2C. Proficiency with applying style guides (e.g., Chicago Manual of Style) to different writing types. Mastery of spelling, grammar, and punctuation; ability to provide constructive feedback. Preferred Experience
Experience with a membership-based, B2B non-profit is preferred. Experience with a health, scientific, or food-related organization is a plus. Other Duties
