2nd Line: Group Chief Risk Officer; Group Head of Compliance; North America CRO, Wholesale and European platform CROs and Heads of Compliance and their teams; Group Heads of ERM, Operational Risk and Insurance Risk and their teams; Head of 2nd Line Assurance and team; Heads of Centres of Expertise (CoEs) for Financial Crime, Data Protection and Legal Risk; Business Manager to the Group CRO and team. North America: Chair and members of NAMC, BICI, BAIC and BUSA Board members; risk committees and senior leaders across Beazley\'s North America business. Group: Group Risk and Regulatory committee, Group CUOs and teams; Service Company Underwriting Management; Group Head of Corporate Governance and Company Secretary; Group Head of Operations and SLT; Legal Counsel for Ceded Re; Group Head of Internal Audit; Product Wordings team. Key Responsibilities

Lead the North America Compliance Plan delivery, including Regulatory Engagement and Government Affairs strategy, Horizon Scanning priorities, Training focus areas, and Legal Risk objectives, aligned to the 2nd Line strategy. Collaborate with the North America CRO to deliver the Risk Management agenda and formal reporting. Ensure North America 2nd Line of Defence operates in a collaborative and effective manner. Maintain relationships with senior stakeholders to position Compliance as a skilled, value-adding function. Lead and develop the North America Compliance leadership team with regular 1:1s, team meetings, and function-wide touchpoints. Participate in the global Compliance Senior Leadership Team. Oversee onboarding processes and CPD/training for new joiners working on regulatory processes. Ensure development and succession plans are in place. Advise on and ensure compliance with US and Canada regulatory requirements, licensing, and cross-border considerations. Oversee regulatory filings, reporting, and licensing awareness; manage regulator relations for North America; coordinate with regulators and Beazley counterparts. Represent North America Compliance at Group committees and working groups as required; support the North America CRO in strategic and reporting responsibilities. Manage BAU regulator relations and develop Government Affairs and Regulatory Engagement strategy. Maintain relationships with key regulators (e.g., Connecticut Insurance Department, NAIC) and ensure timely information exchange and proactive regulatory communication. Oversee horizon scanning at federal/state levels and NAIC initiatives relevant to North America. Promote Beazley\'s brand with regulators and external stakeholders and evaluate trade association participation. Ensure Compliance policies, guidance, registers and frameworks are accessible and up to date. Ensure staff are trained on regulatory matters and that regulatory breaches are escalated appropriately. Education and Qualifications Juris Doctor (JD) Degree Knowledge, Experience and Skills In-depth P&C experience with regulatory/compliance requirements; essential legal practice experience; thorough knowledge of state and federal insurance laws; cross-border licensing knowledge desirable; proven management experience; ability to build relationships with stakeholders; strong business acumen; Lloyd\'s experience advantageous; regulator relations experience desirable Aptitude and Disposition Motivating leadership; nurturing talent; highest integrity; strong communication; analytical, organized, deadline-driven; negotiation skills; diplomatic and approachable Who We Are
