AST SpaceMobile is building the first and only global cellular broadband network in space to operate directly with standard, unmodified mobile devices. The company aims to eliminate connectivity gaps and bring broadband to billions who remain unconnected, for both commercial and government applications. Position Overview We are seeking a Regulatory Affairs Manager – Caribbean to lead and execute regulatory strategy across a designated region. This role shapes and advocates for policies that align with our wireless and satellite communications objectives and helps obtain market access for the satellite network. Responsibilities
Develop and implement regional regulatory strategies based on company goals Secure necessary regulatory authorizations across the region Advocate for optimized satellite and telecom regulatory frameworks Represent the organization in domestic and international regulatory forums, agencies, and industry organizations Draft compelling advocacy materials, including pleadings and policy briefs Advise internal teams on policy developments and their impact on business outcomes Collaborate closely with the global regulatory and international strategy team Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s, engineering, or law degree is a plus Experience:
Zero to five years of experience in the technology sector, with a demonstrated interest in the Caribbean markets, wireless technologies, and/or spectrum management Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish; French or Creole a plus Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of regional technology and policy issues in wireless and/or satellite sectors Understanding of spectrum and industry practices in wireless or satellite communications Experience engaging with regulators, policymakers, and government agencies Willingness to travel approximately 30–40% of the time Soft Skills
Strong interpersonal skills Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams Excellent written and verbal communication skills Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and deliverables Technology Stack
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Regulatory and legal research tools Document management systems Communication platforms (e.g., Zoom, Teams) Physical Requirements
