Design, develop and implement software solutions. Solve business problems through innovation and engineering practices. Participate in all aspects of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) including analyzing requirements, incorporating architectural standards into application design specifications, documenting application specifications, translating technical requirements into programmed application modules, and developing or enhancing software application modules. Identify or troubleshoot application code-related issues. Take active role in code reviews to ensure solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications. Assist with design reviews by recommending ways to incorporate requirements into designs and information or data flows. Participate in project planning sessions with project managers, business analysts, and team members to analyze business requirements and outline proposed solutions. Qualifications
Minimum education and experience required: Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Data Scientist, Web Developer, or related occupation. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Software Engineer, Full Stack Developer, Data Scientist, Web Developer, or related occupation. Skills Required: Agile SDLC (scrum planning, kanban, backlog management, user story mapping); back-end Java/J2EE; multi-threading, concurrency, OOP, functional programming; SQL and NoSQL data stores (MySQL, Oracle, MongoDB); database tuning and scaling; Liquibase and Flyway; Microservices; REST-based API services using Spring Boot, Spring Data JPA, Hibernate; Java Application Server (e.g., Apache Tomcat); Unit testing (JUnit); BDD testing (Mockito); responsive UI development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript); JavaScript frameworks (ReactJS, Angular); UI automated testing (Cucumber); Web app testing (Selenium); front-end tooling (Webpack); back-end with Node.js; GraphQL APIs; ORM tools; testing types and tools; CI/CD tooling (Jenkins); containerization (Docker); build tools (Gradle, Apache Maven); data formats (JSON, YAML, XML); source control (Git, GitHub, Gitflow); Linux OS familiarity; and related technologies as described.
