Overview
Executive Meetings Manager position at Pyramid Global Hospitality. Located at Boston Marriott Newton, part of the Pyramid Global Hospitality portfolio. This role focuses on booking short term meetings and groups, supervising set up, break down, and service of conference meeting rooms, and delivering an exceptional guest and client experience. Responsibilities
Receive and respond to all customer inquiries. Negotiate and capture all profitable Rooms & Catering business. Provide marketing collateral to clients and guests; which may include menus, meeting room layout & seating capacity diagrams, and similar. Prepare and send requested proposals and contracts to designated potential clients. Coordinate all details pertaining to room lists, room types, shared rooms, room locations, handicap-accessible rooms, room billing, etc. Educate Event Planners on hotel procedures, such as meal guarantees, set-up styles, payment terms, available hotel services, etc. Coordinate all details to appear on each “Event Order.” Details to coordinate may include meeting room set-up specifications, banquet food & beverage items, audio/visual equipment & billing details. Distribute final Rooming Lists and Banquet Event Orders to applicable service staff on a regular basis. Conduct site inspections and engage qualified potential clients in alignment with company policies. Document and report all sales activities in a timely, accurate and consistent manner. Maintain an active list of top accounts to ensure ongoing relationship building; contact, visit, and entertain top accounts regularly. Perform other duties as requested; may host functions, participate in sales blitzes, travel, and work extended hours to meet goals. Attend regular networking events to help build brand awareness. Partner with Banquet & Culinary teams to provide a customer experience that exceeds expectations. Capture short-turnaround business, negotiate and confirm new and repeat business; prepare and execute sales contracts, event orders, and group resumes to ensure quality product delivery and customer satisfaction. Coordinate all details to appear on each Banquet Event Order, including meeting room set-up needs, banquet F&B items, meeting or event agenda/timelines, audio/visual equipment needs & billing details. Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in a high-volume establishment. Ability to negotiate, persuade, sell and influence professionals and hotel guests. Knowledge of sales procedures related to the hotel industry. Excellent written skills for sales and marketing communication. Excellent spoken and presentation skills. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Flexible schedule: some weekends/holidays and travel may be required. Experience with Marriott systems (preferred). Compensation
Compensation range: $70,000.00/Yr. - $80,000.00/Yr. based on qualifications and experience. Marriott systems experience is preferred. Job Details
