Salary Range: $68,739 to $89,361 Responsibilities

Position Summary Description: The Corporate Chef provides culinary leadership, expertise, and innovation to support Y. Hata & Co., Ltd.’s business operations, customer engagement, and product development. This position serves as a key supportive role with business development, sales, marketing, vendors, operations and other departments to ensure our products are presented, prepared, and executed to consistent, high-quality standards that align with the company's brand and customer needs. Develops and refines recipes, menu applications, and product usage guides that showcase company products in relevant market settings. Collaborates with Business Development Team in product testing and vendor partnerships. Leads Culinary innovation to support new product launches. Designs and rolls out culinary standards, including plating, portioning, cooking methods, and presentation guidelines for demos and training. Supports customer-facing events, sales demos, and field tastings by designing menus, preparing sample kits, coaching sales staff and field teams, and overseeing onsite execution. Creates and delivers training materials and sessions for internal staff and external partners on product preparation, food safety, and presentation. Collaborates with operations and logistics teams to ensure product staging, sample kits, demo and ingredients arrive intact, are prepped appropriately, and meets quality standards. Collaborates weekly with cross-departmental teams and the Culinary Team to plan and execute Ohana employee lunches. Monitors and ensures culinary consistency and food safety across distribution channels and events. Tracks food cost, waste, and efficiency in demo/training settings and provide feedback to vendor partners and operations teams. Assists in the development of Y. Hata proprietary private label products “EB” Exclusive Brands. Continuously applies market research of culinary trends, innovations, and customer needs to drive competitive advantage. Represents the company professionally as a culinary ambassador, ensuring alignment with Y. Hata’s Mission, Vision, and Core Values. Maintains oversight of kitchen facilities and equipment. Implements and maintains biweekly cleaning schedule with Maintenance Crew. Serves as a resource for the ChefZone and Y. Hata team members and customers to ask culinary questions and product opinions. Uses the Company’s Mission/Vision Statements and Core Values as their guiding principles. Performs similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor. Qualifications

Preferred Associates Degree in Culinary Arts, Culinary Management, Nutrition, or related field and/or Five to seven years of progressive culinary and/or nutrition experience. Experience in a food service distributor highly preferred. ServSafe certification is preferred. Certification as a ServSafe instructor is highly desirable. Days/Hours of Work

This position is generally scheduled Monday through Friday during regular business hours. However, work hours may vary depending on business needs.
