Salary: $63,000; Grade: 20; Closing Date: Until filled The position may offer the ability to work remotely, within Arizona, based upon the department\'s business needs and continual meeting of expected performance measures. Responsibilities

Provide analysis support for the Liability Management Section and the Employment Law Section.

Handle complex work in information technology, legal support training, and project management.

Assist management in developing and implementing new policies, systems, and processes to facilitate case management best practices, statistical reporting, and docketing.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and operation manuals for legal support staff.

Assist, train, and provide technical assistance to all legal staff; may indirectly supervise workload for legal support staff.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs)

Extensive computer and technical knowledge; strong grasp of legal concepts, terminology, principles, and procedures.

Experience with legal research methods and use of statutes, court rules, codes, and other legal resources.

Proficiency with automated systems, Excel, Word, and case management systems (e.g., Legal Files) and litigation support software (e.g., Eclipse, Trial Director, Case Map).

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and procedures; supervisory and management principles; project management methodology.

Strong oral and written communication; ability to prepare comprehensive analyses, reports, policies, and procedures.

Ability to learn new software, track monthly statistics, generate complex reports, and work independently with minimal supervision.

Leadership capabilities to foster support and build interpersonal relationships in a diverse environment; ability to manage large workloads in high-stress settings.

Selective Preference Paralegal certificate or equivalent experience. Prior experience as a trainer or lead paralegal is helpful.

Pre-Employment Requirements

Travel is required; a valid Arizona Driver’s License is required with consent to have your driving record run periodically.

Background check: All applicants under serious consideration will be fingerprinted and must pass a criminal background check through State and Federal agencies. A job offer is contingent on successful clearance.
