Overview
MA 12th Avenue Family Medicine Clinic Full-Time Days. This position will work 1:1 with a busy, established provider in a team-oriented and efficient Medical Assistant role at Saint Alphonsus Health System. Responsibilities
This MA will work 1:1 with a busy, established provider. Utilize a variety of MA skills and see a variety of patients. Support a positive, collaborative clinic team and contribute to a care-team approach to patient care. Perform phlebotomy, administer immunizations, perform EKGs, and prep injections as part of primary MA duties. Set up and assist with minor procedures, complete point-of-care tests, and process tasks in the task inbox. Demonstrate dependability, initiative, and strong communication; help develop efficiencies and assist in all areas of the clinic. Work Schedule
40 hours per week, 4 - 10 hour shifts, Mondays through Thursdays, approximately 7:00am – 4:30pm. Start/end times vary based on clinic needs. Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent at hire. MA certification required within 90 days of hire from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies: American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA) American Medical Technologists (RMA) National Healthcare Association (CCMA) National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA) National Association of Health Professionals (NRCMA) American Medical Certification Association (CMAC) National Phlebotomy Certification Examination (NPCE MA) New Graduates: MA certificate of completion from an accredited program or school; completion of either a 100-hour MA externship or 6 months MA experience in lieu of externship hours even with MA certification. Experience: 1 year MA experience or current MA Certification; or obtain/renew certification within 90 days from hire from approved agencies listed above. Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from AHA, ARC, or Military Training Network at hire. Note: EMT and CNA certifications do not count toward MA certification.
