Position Summary & Responsibilities The IT Systems and Security Senior Administrator at Logos Space designs, implements, and maintains secure and reliable corporate IT infrastructure. You will help establish the IT Systems and Security function from the ground up and, over time, lead a small, high-performing team. You will ensure the success of internal networks and systems through robust system administration, proactive security measures, and efficient IT support. You will develop suitable IT facilities, network infrastructure, and required equipment for corporate operations. Work in a fast-moving environment, turning vague design ideas into tangible systems ready for operation. We are seeking engineers who love to solve hard problems. The full responsibilities include: Responsible for the overall design, implementation, and maintenance of corporate IT systems, including servers, networks, and cloud infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. Responsible for the functional validation of corporate IT systems via analysis, testing, and comprehensive security audits, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities. Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of production systems, and other IT infrastructure supporting corporate operations and development teams. Plan and manage facility IT capabilities including internal wiring and services, Local and Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN) equipment selection and deployment, integration with Logos security and access control, and other site-related IT capabilities. Release detailed technical documentation, including system designs, security policies, standard operating procedures, and incident response plans in support of Logos\' corporate IT and security objectives. Lead efforts in vulnerability management, penetration testing, incident response, and security awareness training, continuously improving the corporate security posture. Manage and administer identity and access management systems, ensuring proper access controls and least privilege practices for corporate users. Oversee network security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security appliances for the corporate network. Implement and manage data backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity for corporate data and systems. Monitor system and network performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues using monitoring tools for corporate infrastructure. Support all corporate IT needs, from the initial idea stage through operational deployment and ongoing maintenance. Travel to our San Diego office. Basic Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a STEM field with a minimum of 8 years of relevant IT systems administration or cybersecurity experience. A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT systems administration, network engineering, or cybersecurity in a complex environment. Professional experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), Google Workspace, SaaS application integration, and Windows server administration, including command-line interfaces. Strong understanding of networking concepts, including routing, TCP/IP protocols, and network monitoring tools. Knowledge of and experience applying industry best practices for cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, CIS Controls) and IT service management (ITIL). Proven track record of working with IT and security systems through the entire product lifecycle, from conceptual designs to deployment and operations in a team setting. Self-motivated with strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills; leadership qualities preferred. US Citizenship is required. Preferred Qualifications
3+ years experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR tools. Understanding of secure software development lifecycle (SSDLC) and DevSecOps principles.
