Sr. Enterprise Account Executive - San Francisco Bay Area
We are seeking an exceptionally accomplished Sr. Enterprise Account Executive to join Cloudflare's Enterprise/Field Sales team. This role leads strategic customer engagements, drives large-scale platform sales, and expands opportunities within focused accounts. The ideal candidate has strong sales leadership, deep enterprise architecture understanding (business, data, applications, technology), and can articulate how Cloudflare integrates into modern cloud operating models.
What You’ll Do
Executive-Level Strategic Revenue Leadership: Own and execute the most critical territory and account plans, consistently exceeding multi-million dollar sales targets and annual quotas by closing large-scale platform sales within focused, strategic accounts.
Precision Forecasting & Pipeline Mastery: Lead with accuracy in forecasting and proactive pipeline management; provide strategic guidance that shapes the sales organization.
Enterprise Architecture & Business Model Expertise: Demonstrate expert understanding across four pillars (business, data, applications, technology) and map Cloudflare solutions to customer business models within a modern cloud operating model.
C-Suite Engagement & Executive Sponsorship: Manage complex engagements across business units and apply executive sponsorship programs with CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs.
Cross-Functional Leadership & Influence: Lead virtual teams including Product Managers, VPs, and SVPs to close strategic opportunities; remove roadblocks and drive delivery.
Digital Transformation Visionary: Advise on digital transformation and position Cloudflare within broader market trends.
Organizational Communication & Feedback: Craft clear messaging across departments; review performance and provide constructive feedback.
Long-Term Strategic Impact: Consider long-term effects of decisions and model Cloudflare’s highest standards.
Define Goals & Drive Efficiency: Collaborate on quarterly goals and metrics; address interdependencies and roadblocks to maximize efficiency.
Company-Wide Innovation & Problem Solving: Proactively address needs and drive positive change across the organization.
Inclusive Leadership & Future-Proofing: Foster diverse perspectives and anticipate future challenges.
Examples Of Desirable Skills, Knowledge, And Experience
10+ years of expert-level experience selling complex, multi-million dollar technology solutions in a B2B enterprise model, with a track record of exceedining quota and closing transformative platform deals.
Extensive knowledge of Cloudflare’s product suite and the security landscape; ability to educate customers and partners at an expert level.
Mastery of Customer Enterprise Architecture (Business, Data, Applications, Technology) and mapping to modern cloud operating environments.
Proven ability to manage executive sponsorship programs with CIOs, CISOs, and CTOs.
Experience leading virtual teams of VPs/SVPs to close strategic opportunities.
Strong digital transformation expertise and market-trend insight to position Cloudflare as a strategic partner.
Excellent strategic communication, negotiation, and presentation skills at the highest levels.
Long-term, outcomes-focused leadership with willingness to trade short-term gains for lasting value.
Ability to define team goals, drive cross-departmental efficiency, and proactively address roadblocks.
Humility coupled with assertiveness to drive positive change and innovation.
Proficiency in Salesforce, Tableau, G Suite, MS Office, MEDDPICC, and related tools.
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree highly preferred.
Ability to travel extensively to engage with customers, executives, and internal teams.
Compensation
Compensation may be adjusted depending on work location. Estimated annual salary range: $320,000 - $350,000 (base/variable). This role is eligible to earn incentive compensation under Cloudflare’s Sales Compensation Plan.
Equity
This role is eligible to participate in Cloudflare’s equity plan.
