Overview
Under the direction of the Director of Street Health, the Street Health Manager (0923 Manager II) oversees services for individuals who are unhoused or unsheltered and in need of behavioral health intervention. This position provides direction to civil service and contracted teams that perform street-based outreach and engagement, and represents the Department of Public Health in citywide Street Health initiatives. Responsibilities
Manage programs and diverse operational activities of the Street Health teams. Provide clinical and administrative supervision to Street Health leadership and staff engaged in behavioral health outreach and intervention services. Plan, develop, and oversee complex projects and policies related to Street Health operations. Maintain regular communication with the Director of Street Health and program staff, and coordinate with other City departments to address the behavioral health needs of unhoused and unsheltered populations. Build and sustain partnerships with hospitals, the jail system, and the homeless response system to ensure effective care coordination for individuals in need of behavioral health services. Develop policies and ensure program compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements. Use a racial equity lens to evaluate and advocate for new and existing resources to meet the needs of San Francisco’s culturally diverse communities. The Street Health Manager may perform other duties as assigned/required. Qualifications
1. License and Certification : Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); OR Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); OR Possession of a valid license as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), issued by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS); OR Possession of a valid license as a Clinical Psychologist (PhD, PsyD) issued by the California Board of Psychology; AND 2. Experience : Three (3) years of professional experience in behavioral health services for people experiencing homelessness or with significant mental health or substance use needs, including at least two (2) years of verifiable experience as a Licensed LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or Licensed Clinical Psychologist. Applicants must meet the minimum qualification requirements by the final filing date unless otherwise noted. One-year full-time employment is equivalent to 2,000 hours (2,000 hours of qualifying work experience is based on a 40-hour work week). Desirable Qualifications:
Two (2) years of supervisory experience in a behavioral health care setting. Important Note:
