Physician (GP Plus) – LV Craig Family Medicine Clinic – Full Time 10 Hour Days (Exempt) (Non-Union) at USC CERPP (Center for Enrollment Research, Policy and Practice). The Physician provides direct and indirect patient care and related work as required by department/unit leadership, under indirect supervision. Responsibilities

Provides and manages direct patient care, including physical examinations, evaluations, assessments, diagnoses and treatment for a specified patient population. Emphasizes health education and preventive Medicare care where appropriate. Takes comprehensive patient histories, maintains accurate and up-to-date medical records, and prepares reports as needed. Counsels on medical and/or psychological issues; refers patients for treatment when appropriate; provides medical treatment as needed. Prescribes pharmaceuticals and treatment regimens appropriate to assessed medical conditions. Refers patients to specialists and relevant care components; collaborates with Counseling Services staff for mental health cases as needed. Reviews history and treatment plans prepared by physician assistants/nurse practitioners and may function in a supervisory role as needed. Follows departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, including quality improvement, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Participates in health promotion, education and prevention programs as appropriate to the position. Maintains professional licenses, certifications, and stays current on developments in medicine. Covers after-hours calls as needed. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned; University reserves the right to add or change duties. Manages patients with chronic controlled and uncontrolled comorbidities; collaborates with care coordination to oversee multi-disciplinary care with low-risk specialists. Manages transitions of care for patients with multiple low-risk hospitalizations. Works with contracted utilization management to discuss complex diagnoses and refer high-risk patients to appropriate specialty services, including home health coordination. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications

Doctoral Degree (M.D. or D.O.). 0-1 year of experience as an MD; successful completion of residency at an accredited healthcare institution. Ability to provide diagnostic, treatment and counseling services. Ability to analyze situations and take effective action. Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with physicians, nurses and other staff. Demonstrates confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism. Preferred Qualifications

2 years of MD experience preferred. Required Licenses/Certifications

Medical Doctor – valid license/certification to practice in the state of Nevada. DEA Certificate – unrestricted with NV address. Board certification in specialty area (current). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider – American Heart Association. Board of Pharmacy license – valid Nevada Board of Pharmacy license (where applicable). USC Credentialing – must obtain from governing board within 120 days of hire. Fire Life Safety Training (LA City) – if card not on hire, must obtain within 30 days and maintain renewal by expiration date (LA City requirement). Salary: The annual base salary range for this position is $191,360.00 – $315,744.00. USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, work experience, education/training, key skills, peer equity, applicable laws, grants, market conditions, and other considerations when extending an offer.
