The KBR Capture Manager will serve as a Capture lead within KBR’s business development organization, focusing on federal government agencies under the Federal Civilian space (e.g., DHS, ICE, DOJ, DOT). You will lead large, prime, full and open opportunities and guide top pursuits across KBR. Primary work location will be Fulton, MD with assigned customers across the US. Position can be 100% remote depending on location. Approximately 20-40% travel to client locations. Responsibilities
Capture ownership of assigned opportunities in support of KBR’s growth mission and vision Manage and execute the full business development lifecycle across multiple simultaneous pursuits and proposals Routinely handle 2-3 large ($100M+) solicitation pursuits at various stages of the capture lifecycle, primarily in the federal market Conceptualize a winning strategy, develop a capture plan with win themes, discriminators, and scorable strengths; adjust as procurement unfolds; drive capture activities and team to final proposal submission Plan, lead, and execute capture activities to include: Develop a healthy pipeline of new opportunities Qualify and assess the “win-ability” of new opportunities Develop a plan to understand customer requirements, challenges, issues, and needs during the capture phase; lead solutioning/planning sessions with the capture team Coordinate meetings with customers, competitors, clients, and teammates to develop market insight on requirements, acquisition strategy, timing, and contract vehicle choices Lead milestone/gate reviews, competitive assessments, and proposal reviews Lead teaming and price-to-win efforts Lead the development and submission of white papers, RFI responses, and other proposal artifacts Apply KBR capture management best practices, including creating and disseminating capture artifacts (call reports, budgets, win plans, solution documentation, key strengths statements) Brief capture status to senior management at milestones and when material changes occur Create winning solutions and pursue large new business programs
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of experience, including 8+ years in industry and 4+ years in business development Experience winning new business single award contracts valued over $200M Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience accepted in lieu of degree Demonstrable history of winning large prime, single award, non-IDIQ contracts Ability to work with senior business and government leaders and provide leadership Experience in a mature capture organization targeting space and engineering support Ability to drive profitable financial outcomes with understanding of corporate indirect rates and LOE/BOE development Proven success in business development, capture management, program management, civil space programs, civilian federal programs, and related acquisition processes Demonstrated leadership in services-centric organizations, including building industry teams and assessing win probability Compensation
Basic Compensation: $146,800 - $220,100 The offered rate will be based on contract affordability and the selected candidate’s location, knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience, and internal parity Additional Compensation: Bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation per policy, including sign-on bonuses, relocation benefits, short-term incentives, long-term incentives, or discretionary payments Benefits and Equal Opportunity
