Staff Product Marketing Manager, Security – Okta. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, this role helps accelerate Okta’s security journey and tells Okta’s security story in a compelling, cohesive way. The mission is to elevate Okta’s profile as a security company and advocate for identity as security, especially in the AI era. What You’ll Be Doing
Build the go-to-market strategy to evangelize identity as security and to secure the new wave of AI, including defining investment strategy for industry events, thought leadership content, and targeted campaigns. Create differentiated security messaging for both sales and customers that conveys our security value proposition. Develop security thought leadership programs through white papers, research studies, reports, and related content. Represent Okta at security events to raise our profile, define which events and meetups to participate in, and contribute to event messaging. Support security product launches and new content campaigns across the company to maximize awareness and impact. Work cross-functionally with corporate security, business technology, product management, engineering, sales and enablement. What You’ll Bring To The Role
6+ years of experience as a product marketer in cybersecurity or identity management. Experience driving large-scale, company-impacting launches. Experience writing (or leading) security-focused thought leadership and customer-facing content. Ability to manage senior stakeholders with differing priorities. High sense of urgency. Background in security software and an understanding of the security landscape. Nice To Have
CS degree or technical background. Cloud security experience. Compensation and Benefits
The On Target Earnings (OTE) ranges vary by location. For the San Francisco Bay area, the OTE range is $165,000—$247,000 USD. For California, Colorado, New York, and Washington, the OTE range is $147,000—$221,000 USD. Canada salary ranges are listed separately (e.g., $117,000—$175,000 CAD).
