Staff Product Marketing Manager, Security Reporting to the Senior Manager, Product Marketing, this role will help accelerate the security journey by telling Okta's security story in a compelling, cohesive, and relevant way. Your mission is to elevate Okta's profile as a security company and evangelize the need for identity as security, especially in this AI era. The ideal candidate balances inputs from senior stakeholders, market insights, competitive trends, and customer needs to formulate a clear point of view that others can rally around. You will be a self-motivated, execution-oriented professional focused on delivering outcomes.
What you'll be doing
Build the go-to-market strategy
to evangelize identity as security and secure the new wave of AI, including defining investments for industry events, thought leadership content, and targeted campaigns. Create differentiated security messaging
for sales and customers that conveys our security value proposition. Build security thought leadership
programs through white papers, research studies, reports, etc. Represent Okta at security events
to raise our profile and establish a unique point of view, including selecting events and shaping messaging. Support security product launches
and new content campaigns across the company to maximize awareness and impact. Work cross-functionally
with corporate security, business technology, product management, engineering, sales, and enablement.
What you'll bring to the role
6+ years of experience as a product marketer in cybersecurity or identity management Experience driving large-scale, company-impacting launches Experience writing (or leading) security-focused thought leadership and customer-facing content Ability to manage senior stakeholders with differing priorities High sense of urgency Background in security software and understanding of the security landscape
Extra credit
CS degree or technical background Cloud security experience

Compensation and benefits
The OTE range varies by location. For the San Francisco Bay area, the range is $165,000 — $247,000 USD. For California, Colorado, New York, and Washington, the OTE ranges from $147,000 — $221,000 USD. For Canada, the OTE range is $117,000 — $175,000 CAD. Salary and total rewards include base salary or OTE, equity where applicable, and benefits such as health, dental, vision, retirement plans, and paid leave per applicable policies.
