Our Client, an AV Manufacturing company, is looking for a Platform Engineer for their Foster City, CA location.

Responsibilities

Manage and maintain Microsoft Windows Servers to include Active Directory Domain Controllers and provide recommendations/solutions to secure and optimize their configuration

Develop automation workflows to enhance capabilities and enhance customer self-service

Work with engineering users and application support to support the Horizon VDI environment and validate new use cases/features within the environment

Deploy resources both on-prem and on AWS

Requirements

A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in an enterprise environment or an equivalent combination of education, training and relevant experience

Demonstrated proficiency managing and troubleshooting Windows based environments

Knowledgeable in virtual desktop environments, preferably with previous exposure to VMware/Omnissa Horizon in an production environment

Proven ability to script/code with PowerShell and/or Bash

Experienced in the management of vSphere/ESXI environments and a working knowledge of AWS

Experience with the VMware Aria Suite (formerly known as vRealize) and VMware Cloud Foundation

Documentation experience using G-Suite apps or similar products

Adaptable to changing circumstances and operational needs

Experience coding in Python

Experience in the evaluation and integration of new technologies into existing environments
