The team is building privacy, data protection, data governance, and AI governance programs that minimize risk while enabling sales and driving value. We prioritize a risk-based, data-driven approach and cover: Global privacy/data protection, data governance, and AI governance compliance Privacy and data protection contracts (DPAs, SCCs, DTAs, BAAs, etc.) Security incident and data breach response Product privacy by design Privacy and AI governance reviews (PIAs/DPIAs, TIAs, LIAs, etc.) for products, vendors, and internal operations Internal investigations Customer- and public-facing privacy & data protection resources (e.g., product privacy & AI governance data sheets and FAQs for Trust Center documentation) Job Description

The Senior Privacy, Data & AI Governance Counsel provides expert advice and program operations support on all aspects of privacy and data protection to the Chief Privacy Officer (CPO). Responsibilities include privacy reviews, data subject rights (DSR) requests, privacy inquiries, data processing agreement (DPA) escalations, and partnering with the CPO to execute privacy program priorities. The role is a key subject matter expert on US privacy, cybersecurity, data, and AI governance rules. The person will collaborate with stakeholders across Legal, Commercial, Compliance, Procurement, Security, Product & Engineering, IT, HR, Sales, and Marketing teams to minimize privacy and data protection risk while enabling business goals. The candidate will help demonstrate to customers, regulators, and the public that Cloud Software Group has robust privacy, data & AI governance. The successful candidate balances compliance and risk minimization with business value creation, and is pragmatic, tech-savvy, and solutions-oriented. Duties and Responsibilities

This position’s key duties and responsibilities include: Conducting privacy and AI governance reviews of vendors, products, and internal programs involving personal data processing Handling and responding to data subject rights (DSR) requests and other privacy inquiries Maintaining and updating internal and external privacy and data protection policies, standards, and guidance Creating customer-facing FAQs, data sheets, and other documentation to help customers review privacy of our products and services Supporting audits, assessments, and certifications, including responses to privacy and security questionnaires Facilitating due diligence and transitions in mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures Advising Sales & Marketing on privacy and data protection requirements for various marketing activities Collaborating with cross-functional teams across Legal, Security, Engineering, Product, Marketing, HR, and Sales Providing expert support in internal investigations, security incidents, and data breaches Monitoring privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI governance laws and trends Driving internal training and awareness of privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI governance obligations Identifying training needs and contributing to the global training program Supporting the CPO in privacy program management and operations Required Qualifications

5+ years of full-time experience in privacy, data protection, data governance, and AI governance 3+ years in the tech industry, with at least 2+ years in the B2B tech sector 2+ years conducting privacy and AI governance reviews with risk-minimization recommendations Qualified US attorney Nice-to-Haves

Experience in the enterprise cloud software tech industry First-principles, risk-based, data-driven approach to prioritization and decision-making Strong people skills (collaboration, communication, empathy) Experience using privacy program management tools Education

Advanced law degree (master’s or doctorate) Privacy and data protection courses or certifications Compensation may vary by location and qualifications, with potential bonuses and incentives based on terms of the applicable plan and performance. Example ranges by location: NY $153,789-$230,683; CA $160,475-$240,713; Other locations $133,730-$200,594. Benefits vary by role and country; US-based employees typically receive healthcare, life insurance, disability, and 401(k) with company match.
