Instructional Designer and Program Manager — Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) | Posted Sep 14, 2025 | Full-time | Negotiable | Entry (0-2 yrs) INSTRUCTIONAL DESIGNER AND PROGRAM MANAGER, Media Lab – Center for Constructive Communication, will design, plan and execute the programmatic and educational activities of realtalk@MIT, including the design of engaging, high-quality learning experiences to support student and staff growth and participation. The role will design and run projects end-to-end—from conception to delivery and impact assessment; identify how the program’s learning objectives will be implemented in the MIT community; lead trainings and workshops for the MIT community; and provide overall project management and support for the realtalk@MIT program. The role is split equally between project management and instructional design. Realtalk@MIT is a new dialogue program that combines human conversation with digital technologies to help the MIT community build constructive communication skills. Design and execute programmatic and educational activities for realtalk@MIT. Develop engaging, high-quality learning experiences to support student and staff growth and participation. Manage end-to-end projects from conception to delivery and impact assessment. Define and implement learning objectives within the MIT community. Lead trainings and workshops; facilitate sessions for varied participant needs. Provide overall project management and support for the program. Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to ensure successful outcomes. Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree; minimum of two years of experience in Instructional Design, Education, and Project Management, Organizational Development, Educational Technology, or related fields. Proven experience managing end-to-end projects (planning, execution, monitoring, delivery); strong stakeholder communication and cross-functional team management. Experience leading workshops, trainings, or webinars; ability to adapt to varied participant needs. Exceptional interpersonal, organizational, time management, and program management skills; excellent oral and written communication; ability to create clear, actionable deliverable instructions. Flexible, multitask-oriented, thriving in a dynamic environment; self-motivated, well-organized, and detail-oriented. Preferred: Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, Project Management, or related field. Familiarity with instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM) and accessible content for diverse audiences; instructional design-related certificate; certifications in relevant software/tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Captivate, Adobe Creative Suite); interest in translating research into practical applications.
