What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
Design and build maps infrastructure, editor, and pipelines in collaboration with product and safety teams
Own the design and implementation of scalable frontend and backend services for large fleets
Advocate for technical excellence and collaborate with the engineering manager
Navigate trade-offs between rapid development and long-term solutions focused on customer impact
Communicate effectively with both engineering teams and internal product partners to maintain feedback loops
What is Required (Qualifications)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
4+ years of experience as a software engineer
Fullstack or backend development experience
Strong programming and coding fundamentals
Experience designing and architecting large, high-scale systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
Proven experience shaping and improving mapping, routing, or navigation products
Passion for mentoring and assisting junior engineers in their growth
Track record of thriving in early-stage teams and scaling them post-startup
Ability to engage directly with customers as needed
