Sr Associate, Investment Controlling - Construction FP&A Pay $98,000.00 - $147,000.00 / year

Overview RWE Clean Energy, LLC (RWECE) is seeking a Sr Associate, Investment Controlling - Construction FP&A to support financial performance controlling, planning & reporting and target setting for the Onshore Wind, Solar and Energy Storage businesses in the Americas. The role is a strategic partner and trusted advisor, evaluating improvement measures, providing recommendations and business decision support.

Responsibilities

Financial planning & analysis: Support timely, complete, accurate, high-quality reporting/planning/forecasting with construction business stakeholders

Primary controlling support for the Solar, Energy Storage, and Onshore Wind Construction business (e.g., monthly reporting, quarterly forecasting, mid-term planning, business cases, ad-hoc analyses, special topics, savings initiatives, monthly performance dialogues)

Preparation of the monthly reporting for the specific project(s) supported by the role, including journal entries, free cash flow reporting, and detailed analysis of resource and non-resource costs

Management communication: Prepare materials for and support meetings with Senior Management and the Board for regular reporting and special projects

Coordination and teamwork: act as a primary contact within the team, coordinating topics and financial impacts across the business

Continuous process improvement: support best practices, standardization and tools to drive efficiency, automation and quality

Ongoing initiatives: support company-wide priorities, strategic planning, growth targets and integration activities following the merger

Qualifications

BA/BS in Finance/Accounting/Economics/Business required; advanced degree is a plus but not required

Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Accounting, Controlling, FP&A, Financial or Management Consulting, or other Finance-related fields; renewable energy and/or management experience is a plus but not required

Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage customer relationships

Demonstrated desire to learn about the Company and the renewables space

Excellent proficiency with SAP (moderate to advanced), Excel (moderate to advanced), PowerPoint, Tableau, Power BI; other system/tools experience is a plus

Strong leadership, communication skills, and ability to meet deadlines

Strong organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple tasks and deliverables

Continuous process improvement supporting best practices, standardization and tools to drive efficiency, automation and quality

Ability to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team

Motivated self-starter with goal orientation and strong problem-solving abilities

Ability to empathize, build relationships, and effectively communicate with people from diverse backgrounds

Coachable, responsive to direction

Detail-oriented with strong business acumen and understanding of business concepts

General accounting and IFRS knowledge a plus

Language: English (fluent); German is a plus

Other duties as assigned

Salary and Benefits Pay range:

The annual base salary range for this position in Illinois is $98,000 - $147,000. The listed salary range represents our good faith estimate for this position and represents the range for new hire salaries across all U.S locations. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. RWE considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate’s education & work experience, training & certifications, and key skills as well as market and business considerations at the time of the offer.
