Salary range : $266,200-276,500.

Responsibilities

Rotate amongst different facilities providing Consulting Psychiatry support to primary care teams (e.g., PCPs, Collaborative Care social workers and nurses). Provide regularly scheduled (weekly) caseload consultation to the Collaborative Care Clinicians (social workers) focused on patients who are new to the caseload or not improving as expected. Oversee the status and population health of assigned patient caseload with Collaborative Care Clinicians, prioritizing patients for case review and treatment adjustment by reviewing the patient registry. Recommend treatment adjustments through the case review process or ad hoc consultations, including medication recommendations and other interventions. Document treatment recommendations in the medical record as needed. Advise on treatment for patients who need more intensive or specialized care, supporting treatment in the medical setting until engagement in specialty care as appropriate. Provide ad hoc telephone consultation to medical providers for complex patients or challenging situations. Provide direct evaluation and ongoing treatment support for patients with significant diagnostic or therapeutic challenges as identified with the Collaborative Care Clinician and/or PCP. Develop and deliver in-service training for primary care providers and staff. Assist primary care clinics with workflow management and practice transformation toward a Collaborative Care model.

Qualifications

MD or DO from an accredited medical or osteopathy school Completion of ACGME-accredited psychiatry residency program Board certified or eligible in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry NY State License and DEA Certificate Excellent communication skills Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting Able to quickly synthesize medical and psychiatric data and formulate evidence-based clinical recommendations

Compensation and Benefits

Wages and benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $266,200 (board eligible); $276,500 (board certified) based on a 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours. Estimated total annual compensation: $436,820 (board eligible) and $448,150 (board certified) including baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors. Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours per week: $104,000. Projected bonus up to $40,000 (based on productivity targets). 401(k) company contributions: 3% immediate, then 7% after one year (no employee match required). Annual CME reimbursement; generous PTO; medical, prescription, and dental coverage; life and AD&D insurance; and other benefits.
