Hematology/Oncology Physician – UVA Health Locations:
Culpeper, Gainesville, Haymarket & Manassas, VA UVA Health is seeking a
Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist
to join our expanding
UVA Community Health Cancer Service Line
in Northern Virginia. Based primarily at
UVA Culpeper Medical Center
and
UVA Gainesville Cancer Center , this position offers the opportunity to provide high-quality hematology and oncology care across multiple community locations, supported by the strength of the
University of Virginia’s academic medical center. This is a
growth position
designed to meet the increasing demand for advanced cancer care in Northern Virginia.
Practice Highlights
Practice Setting : Outpatient, hospital-based, single-specialty group Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM (flexible 4-day workweek available) Call:
1:6, providing nightly and weekend cross-coverage for UVA Culpeper, Prince William, and Haymarket Medical Centers Clinical Volume : 15–20 clinic patients per day; average annual wRVUs ~5,500 Case Mix : 50% oncology / 50% hematology Hospital Census : Average 0–2 patients daily when rounding Procedures : Bone marrow biopsies (approx. 20 per year) Virtual Health : Telemedicine and virtual consults integrated into practice Support Team : Advanced Practice Clinicians (consult only), plus robust ancillary support including nutrition, social work, chaplaincy, smoking cessation, and patient advocacy services Teaching Opportunities : Engagement with UVA Hematology/Oncology fellows (0–2 per year rotate through)
Qualifications
MD/DO with
Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology Eligible for medical licensure in Virginia Strong interest in delivering state-of-the-art cancer care in community settings Commitment to UVA’s mission of patient-centered, academically integrated care
