We are seeking a newly qualified GP to join us under the ARRS funding scheme for 4 sessions per week (negotiable). Main duties of the job
The post-holder will undertake a variety of duties including surgery consultations, telephone consultations, video consultations, and queries; visiting patients at home; checking and signing repeat prescriptions; and dealing with paperwork and correspondence in a timely fashion. The post-holder will make professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems, whether self-referred or referred from other health care workers within the organisation or external organisations. They will assess the health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems.

Job description & responsibilities
ARRS Scheme Salaried General Practitioner Key Clinical Responsibilities: The post-holder will practice in accordance with accepted good medical practice and theService policies, and will undertake duties including but not limited to: Surgery consultations, telephone consultations, video consultations and queries Visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions and dealing with queries, paperwork and correspondence Making professional, autonomous decisions in relation to presenting problems Assessing health needs of patients with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems Screening patients for disease risk factors and early signs of illness Contributing to QOF, Enhanced Services and IIF requirements and recording data appropriately Developing care plans in consultation with patients in line with current practice protocols Screening patients for health education Admitting and discharging patients to and from the caseload and referring to other care providers as appropriate Recording clear and contemporaneous consultation notes Collecting data for audit and contributing to Practice audit programme Compiling and issuing computer-generated acute and repeat prescriptions; avoiding handwritten prescriptions when possible Prescribing in line with formulary or generically where appropriate Leading on aspects of governance, QOF, enhanced services, CPD and keeping clinical protocols up to date Other duties include: working to professional standards set by regulatory bodies and contributing to the overall performance and efficiency of the practice.
