Role Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Physician in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Board-certified/board-eligible physician for our expanding clinic in Bonne Terre, MO, just an hour outside of St. Louis. Hospital affiliation: Parkland Health Center includes a full-service acute-care hospital in Farmington, and a three-bed critical access hospital in Bonne Terre serving residents of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri. The Parkland-Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including a wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.

Responsibilities
Manages the medical care of patient panel by providing or arranging inpatient hospital care for patients, including hospital rounds or coordinating with hospitalists or other qualified physicians to provide coverage consistent with Medical Staff requirements.
Collaborates with patients, families, and care team members to ensure excellent patient care outcomes at the clinic locations designated by BJC and any other BJC clinical outreach locations as needed.
Performs and documents medical histories and physicals in the patient’s medical record as required by hospital medical staff bylaws.
Provides or arranges for call coverage for clinic patients and inpatient call coverage in a manner acceptable to BJC and in accordance with Medical Staff bylaws, while following all BJC policies and procedures and applicable legal, ethical and professional standards.
Collaborates and teaches advanced practice providers, support staff, or any care team members assigned to the physician’s patient panel.
BJC has determined this is a safety-sensitive position. The ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner is an essential function of this job.
