The Role We are seeking a senior fullstack software engineer to join Addepar in our Partner Platform team. We are building out a new platform from scratch to enable third parties to engage with Addepar at scale. This team focuses on handling large volumes of data and the engineering challenges of distributed systems for automated data ingestion and transformation. We look for engineers who are hard-working, care about solving hard problems at high scale, delight customers, and contribute to the success of the whole company. Addepar takes a market-based approach to pay. Starting pay is determined based on role, skills, experience, location, and market conditions. The current range for this role is $125,000 - $195,000 (base salary) + bonus + equity + benefits. These ranges reflect base salary only and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits. What You’ll Do Architect, implement, and maintain engineering solutions to solve complex problems; write well-designed, testable code Lead individual project priorities, deadlines, and solutions Collaborate effectively with product managers, engineers, and partners on projects Communicate technical ideas and set direction on projects with a focus on solving business challenges Mentor other engineers on the team Participate in the design and development of a strategic product for Addepar Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that is scalable and extensible Who You Are B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or similar field (or equivalent practical experience) 4+ years of software engineering experience Proficient in backend development, specifically Python or Java Experience with databases, SQL and NoSQL Strong ownership mentality and drive to solve important problems Passion for implementing standard processes with a bias toward automation Proven ability to collaborate with and mentor other engineers Experience in data processing and analysis using SQL, PySpark or similar frameworks is a plus Rapid learner with robust analytical and problem-solving abilities Our Values Act Like an Owner - Think and operate with intention, purpose and care.
