Overview
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) role with a $5,000 sign-on bonus at Spectrum Center Schools and Programs. Starting salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year plus the $5,000 sign-on bonus. Spectrum Center Schools and Programs is a division of ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education, a provider of alternative and special education programs for children and young adults. This SLP position is part of our award-winning Special Education team and focuses on student-centered, outcomes-driven speech therapy to support communication and language development. As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide high-quality speech therapy services tailored to individual student needs, including evaluation, goal setting, progress monitoring, and collaboration with families and school teams to support holistic development. Responsibilities
Evaluate students’ communication strengths and needs and design individualized, evidence-based speech therapy programs aligned with goals developed with educators and families. Monitor student progress with data-driven methods and provide updates reflecting goals, preferences, and milestones. Apply age-appropriate therapy techniques to strengthen speech, language, cognitive, and memory skills in naturalistic settings tailored to each child. Write comprehensive progress reports to inform interdisciplinary team discussions and adapt therapy services to optimize outcomes. Maintain case records in compliance with agency policies and state regulations; review and update documentation for accuracy. Submit session notes and billing documentation within 24 hours of each client interaction to uphold efficiency and accountability. Establish clear, respectful communication with families to coordinate scheduling and make-up sessions as needed. Communicate practical strategies with parents and service providers to support carryover of goals into home and school routines. Conduct thorough clinical assessments, recommend appropriate treatment plans, and manage their implementation to maintain high clinical standards. Ensure timely intake processes, ongoing evaluation of therapy plans, and progress toward clinical performance indicators. Lead staff trainings, disseminate best practices, and mentor team members to build clinical proficiency. Collaborate with clients and families to foster strong therapeutic relationships and support goal achievement. Provide clinical guidance and supervision in home and community-based settings to ensure program fidelity and caregiver support. Partner with multidisciplinary professionals to contribute to team meetings and integrated care planning. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned to contribute to a positive team culture and service delivery. Qualifications
Master’s degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field. Licensed or in the process of obtaining an SLP credential. Valid California driver’s license or ability to obtain one. Experience providing speech-language therapy, preferably in educational or behavioral health settings. Knowledge of special education services and compliance, particularly for students with diverse needs. Proven success in developing and implementing effective treatment plans for students with diverse needs. Strong communication and relationship-building skills with students, parents, teachers, and partners. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Knowledge of relevant technology including instructional tech, Microsoft Office; data entry and basic office equipment. Benefits and Additional Information
