We unveiled our first planned production aircraft, an electric vertical take-off and landing ("eVTOL") air taxi, called Midnight, in November 2022. In December 2024, we launched Archer Defense to develop a next-generation aircraft for defense and civilian applications. Safety is integral to everything we do, from design and engineering to manufacturing, flight testing, and operations. We are seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to oversee the delivery of infrastructure construction projects across our Bay Area Portfolio. You will manage all phases of construction to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety and quality standards. Reporting directly to the Head of Construction, you will coordinate with infrastructure, design, and operations teams to translate plans into operational facilities, including labs, offices, and flight test spaces. You will also manage schedules, budgets, and regulatory compliance while coordinating contractors and partners. What you’ll do: Oversee the planning, permitting, construction, and commissioning of infrastructure, ensuring projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards. Manage the end-to-end construction lifecycle, from contractor bidding and selection to project scheduling, budget tracking, and final commissioning. Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to translate design requirements into built facilities, including labs, office and flight test spaces. Ensure compliance with local building codes, airport regulations, and FAA certification requirements, tailoring infrastructure to meet local conditions. Lead cross-functional project management, engaging stakeholders across design, engineering, operations, and regulatory bodies to maintain seamless execution. Produce executive-level reporting and updates to HQ on project progress, risks, and alignment with Archer’s infrastructure vision. Build and maintain a network of local contractors, consultants, and regulators to stay ahead of trends and ensure best-in-class execution standards. Continuously refine construction processes to drive efficiency, safety, and scalability as Archer prepares for launch. What you need: 5-10+ years of experience in real estate development, construction management, or facilities management Strong financial modeling skills Confidence in presenting to executive management Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment Proficiency in schedule management tools, financial modeling software and Google Workspace Strong third-party management skills to partner with external vendors Preferred Qualifications: Experience with permitting and building departments Self-starter with intellectual curiosity and problem-solving skills Please note that this job description is intended to provide a general overview of the position and does not include an exhaustive list of responsibilities and qualifications. $140,000-$160,000 . Actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
