Job Summary

The College of Law is currently seeking a student to join their team of professionals. Duties to include: Staffs the front desk of the Dean's Suite; answers and directs calls and greets visitors Assists Office Manager/Dean's Assistant with copies, scans, faxes, and creation of Word, Excel and PowerPoint files Maintains the appearance of the Dean's conference room in a neat and organized manner; checks each morning and after each meeting conducted in the room Assists with Canvas activities such as uploading documents, assignments and creating quizzes, as needed Assists with scheduling Zoom meetings as needed Maintains inventory of office supplies and organization of supply closets Creates requisitions under supervision of Office Manager and orders office supplies through myFIUmarket Fills all printer drawers with paper in the morning and after lunch, ensuring copier drawers are full at all times Assist Registrar Office with miscellaneous tasks Makes deliveries of urgent nature for Registrar and HR Offices Assists with general events logistics and various tasks, such as set up, preparation of programs, and printing certificates Assists with staffing events as needed Reconciles/scans credit card receipts as assigned and supervised by Office Manager Initiates work orders from Facilities and Toshiba (copier) as needed Provides research information for administrators for specific projects as needed Other miscellaneous duties as needed Job Category

Federal Work Study Desired Qualifications

Two years experience providing clerical support Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office Suite Research and data collection skills Ability to apply judgment and see projects through to completion Ability to communicate effectively Ability to maintain confidentiality Knowledge of PC operations and software Ability to maintain pleasant working relationships and work well in a team environment Who May Apply

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package. Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters. Upon credits decreasing, award being canceled, or graduating, FWS employment must end. Work Schedule
