Haxtun Health is seeking a visionary Chief Medical Officer to guide the medical team across all departments, ensuring high-quality care and operational efficiency. This role offers the chance to lead, innovate, and provide direct patient care as a Primary Care Provider, directly impacting the future of rural healthcare.
Overview
Haxtun Health is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and Primary Care Clinics system employing nearly 150 people. Located in northeast Colorado, the organization focuses on compassionate, high-quality care for a close-knit community. Responsibilities
Oversee physicians and mid-level providers in primary care, emergency department, and inpatient settings. Shape a new care model to strengthen healthcare access and sustainability for a rural community. Lead clinical policies, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety efforts. Collaborate with a dedicated healthcare team in a close-knit, supportive environment. Provide leadership for both strategic initiatives and day-to-day clinical operations. Qualifications
MD/DO (Board-Certified in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or Hospital Medicine). 5+ years of clinical experience, with leadership or administrative experience preferred. Active or eligible for Colorado medical license. ATLS, BLS, PALS, and ACLS required (or willing to obtain upon hire). Passionate about rural healthcare, provider mentorship, and long-term system improvement. Benefits
