Farm to People is an online farmers market and grocery delivery service specializing in sustainably sourced, local produce and artisanally made foods. Customers can subscribe to a curated Farm Box or shop à la carte. We deliver five days a week and are expanding within the NYC market.
Our mission is to provide an ethical marketplace where people can truly know where their food comes from. We’ve recently opened a Kitchen & Bar where we serve a seasonal menu and host community-driven events. We’re a tight-knit, inclusive team full of passionate food lovers.
About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to drive growth across B2B, wholesale, catering channels. This role will focus on closing new contracts, managing key accounts, and developing revenue opportunities through institutional and corporate partnerships. The ideal candidate has strong sales instincts, excellent relationship management skills, and an entrepreneurial approach to building programs from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, pitch, and close new B2B opportunities, which include but are not limited to:
Food as Medicine boxes for healthcare networks & other organizations
Boxes as corporate employee perks
Off-site Catering
Pop up “Farmers Market” activations in offices
Build and maintain a pipeline of leads and track outreach progress.
Draft pitches, proposals, negotiate contracts, and manage deal execution.
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned B2B accounts.
Ensure smooth program execution and customer satisfaction.
Research and identify grant opportunities that align with Farm to People’s mission.
Draft grant applications and manage reporting requirements when needed.
Qualifications
2 years+ experience in B2B sales, account management, or business development (preferably in food, CPG, catering, or hospitality).
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Experience managing contracts and long-term client relationships.
Interest or experience in grant research, nonprofit partnerships, or impact-driven funding is a plus.
Highly organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing multiple projects at once.
Passion for sustainable food systems and Farm to People’s mission.
Salary & Benefits
$62,500 base performance-based commissions:
1% on returning revenue
3% on new revenue
Partial coverage of Company Health plan
30% Staff discount on Farm to People
