Overview
The Technical Product Marketing Director is a member of Elixir’s Marketing team and is responsible for owning and driving product positioning, competitive analysis, pricing and packaging, and product launches. This is a collaborative, hands-on role that partners with Product, Sales, Alliances, Solution Engineers, and other internal and external teams to deliver insights, trends, and recommendations to improve Elixir’s competitive edge. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with cross-functional collaboration and will own and drive the development of differentiated messaging and positioning to increase awareness and demand. You are a player-coach with a track record of leveraging data to drive decision‑making. You focus on improving GTM strategy and execution, inspire teams to prioritize based on impact, bias toward action, and achieve tangible results. This person should be comfortable executing multiple work streams, adapting to constant change, and building analysis with energy and passion. Essential Functions Under the general supervision of the CEO and/or CRO, the essential functions include: Research and develop product positioning and competitive analysis Work with the Product Team to create packaging and bundles for configurable solution accelerators across verticals Develop the voice and story of the product and market positioning Work closely with Finance, Sales, and Product teams to set pricing that aligns to the product value proposition and user success Partner with Product, Alliances, and Sales to understand the day-in-the-life, pain points, and customer journey Hands-on product demo ability and deep technical understanding in a regulated market with technical buyers Hands-on creation of content and collateral, individually and with cross-functional teams Serve as the specialist for all aspects of competitive analysis across the CCM landscape Gather intelligence about the competition through primary and secondary methods, including attending industry conferences Analyze findings and develop Elixir’s competitive positioning and messaging Collaborate with demand and partner lead programs to help Elixir obtain market share Collaborate with Revenue Operations for Go to Market activities, maintaining and growing our technology stack to meet business objectives and support enablement needs Collaborate with Product Management to communicate product announcements, milestones, achievements, and releases Research and develop configurable solution accelerator definitions, packaging, and bundling with our connector and integration strategy Work with the Marketing team to position Elixir as a thought leader with published content, analyst collateral, webinars, events, and speaking engagements Collaborate with Sales and Alliances to develop sales and partner enablement and competitive collateral Provide objective assessment of Elixir’s competitive position and recommendations to increase competitive edge Use Elixir Cloud to communicate with customers and partners Assist with and participate in product launches, demonstrations, partner/customer conferences, and planning sessions Champion client testimonials and customer success stories to showcase impact Collaborate with the Product team to establish customer needs and product requirements from market feedback Engage with customers and industry influencers to understand current and future needs Embrace and sustain a work environment aligned with Elixir’s core values: Community, Learning Culture, Integrity, and Pioneering Competencies A storyteller. You collaborate across the Marketing team and with every team at Elixir Optionally, knowledgeable about the Document Output Management and/or Customer Communication Management competitive landscape Requirements 7 years of experience in product marketing PMM role with at least 3 B2B SaaS software vendors that provided strategic enterprise applications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field Pragmatic Institute Product Marketing certification or willingness to obtain certification Education and Experience Master’s degree in Marketing or related field CCM and/or CX market experience Experience with Agile Product Development frameworks
