Litigation Associate – Hybrid (New Jersey)
Overview
Direct Counsel is representing an Amlaw 100 firm seeking a Litigation Associate with 2–3 years of litigation experience to join its New Jersey office. The ideal candidate will bring strong academic credentials and proven skills in legal research, writing, and oral advocacy. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex matters in state and federal courts while collaborating with experienced attorneys at a nationally recognized firm. Key Responsibilities
Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis Manage traditional and electronic discovery processes Represent clients in state and federal court proceedings Collaborate with attorneys and staff on litigation strategy and case preparation Qualifications
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school with excellent academic credentials 2–3 years of litigation experience, preferably in a mid- to large-sized law firm Strong research, writing, and oral advocacy skills Experience drafting pleadings, conducting discovery, and appearing in court Admission in good standing to the New Jersey Bar (required) Federal clerkship experience Compensation & Benefits
