Full Stack Engineer
We are an early stage startup backed by top investors, building an innovative payments platform for merchants. We help merchants save money on payments fees, engage highly loyal customers, and focus on building delightful experiences. We’re looking to grow our founding team with a product-minded engineer interested in working across the stack to build next generation payment infrastructure. About you
Based in the SF Bay Area (and excited about working closely in-person with a tight-knit team!) Innately curious and brave enough to consider new payment paradigms or verticals for applications, can navigate low information environments Execution oriented, excited by the high-ownership nature of joining a team at this stage Interested in building a top class engineering culture from the ground up Appreciates and looks for elegant solutions but understands trade-offs of robust designs/engineering vs. moving fast Experience building fast, reliable cloud applications Nice to Haves
Passionate about payments and/or fintech Operated at an early stage startup before (0-20 employees/pre-seed, seed, series A) Full-stack experience Familiarity with Typescript, Golang/Python web frameworks, AWS, Postgres Experience in building one of these areas:
core ledgers money movement platforms/services merchant facing APIs for in-app/online POS
What will you be doing?
Build robust, scalable systems of record for money movement Work closely with our initial customers to design and integrate our APIs Build core partner bank integrations Own end-to-end design, implementation, and release of features Design and implement engineering processes Contribute to our engineering infrastructure Help grow our engineering team, and grow as an engineering leader Our culture
We’re taking an intentional approach to how we grow the team. You’ll be an integral part not just of building the product but also the team ethos. The goal is a few days a week co-located to start, with snacks, coffee, and meals to entice the return to sitting at a desk around colleagues :) We think half the fun of this stage of building is the camaraderie, standing around a whiteboard, and codifying the culture together.
