Patent Docket Specialist

You will play a critical role in supporting the intellectual property team by overseeing the patent docketing process.
Responsibilities:
Docketing Management:
Enter, update, and maintain patent-related deadlines, actions, and documents in the firm's docketing software, including filing dates, response deadlines, issuance dates, and maintenance fee schedules. Deadline Tracking:
Monitor and prioritize upcoming deadlines, ensuring timely reminders are sent to attorneys and staff to meet U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) and international patent office requirements. Document Review:
Review and interpret patent correspondence, including USPTO communications, client instructions, and foreign associate reports, to accurately docket critical dates and tasks. Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in patent docketing or intellectual property administration within a law firm or corporate legal department. Familiarity with USPTO rules and procedures, Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) processes, and international patent prosecution timelines.
