At Stony Brook Medicine, a
TH Medical Radiographer III
is a valuable member of our team. The radiographer provides diagnostic exams, positions and transfers patients, offers immobilization devices, selects proper technical factors on an individual patient basis, and operates equipment. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior patient care and possess outstanding communication skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence. Responsibilities
Provides protection in accordance with prescribed safety standards and assists physicians in administering opaque media. May be designated as acting supervisor in the absence of the supervisor or senior technologist. Assists in performing first aid, practices sterile techniques, and prevents cross-contamination. May conduct periodic quality control tests and participate in required specialty research. May teach radiology students or hospital personnel as established by department guidelines and objectives. Teach radiology students or appropriate hospital personnel about established procedures and operation of equipment. Qualifications
Required:
New York State Department of Health Licensed in Radiology Technology. ARRT Certification. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification. Preferred:
3-5 years of experience in procedural area. Special Notes / Pre-employment Requirements

Electronic reference check with a minimum of three professional references. 4-panel drug screen and regulatory pre-employment screenings. The anticipated pay range is
$84,303 - $106,917
