Position Overview: Schedule: Monday-Wednesday & Friday (7:30a-3:30p), Thursday (8:30a-3:30p) Call Requirement: 6 weekends per year, 2 weekdays per month Setting: Outpatient Patient Volume: 20 per clinic day, up to 14 per procedure day Cases: General GI only; outpatient clinical and endoscopic services, screening procedures Support Staff: 2 APPs, full support EMR: Epic Must be board-certified Compensation & Benefits: Competitive base salary + RVUs Sign-on and relocation package Medical malpractice insurance Qualifications Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) National Institutes of Health (NIH) Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. Active unencumbered Gastroenterologist Internal Medicine Florida state license Graduate from a fully accredited MD or DO program One year of work experience as Gastroenterologist One year of EMR experience Board Certified Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required: Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills. Participates in relevant continuing education programs. Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients. Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise. A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital. Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
