Project Lead/Instructor
to oversee and facilitate a recurring, two-week synchronous virtual training on integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors in the military. This position supports the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences' Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) in Bethesda, MD. The
Project Lead/Instructor
will assist with activities related to CDP's mission to develop a community of military culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through high-quality training, expert convenings, and dissemination of research-based treatment and the latest topics in military behavioral health. CDP is supported administratively and managerially by the Henry M. Jackson Foundation (HJF).
CDP strives to be the central hub for the Military Health System (MHS) in developing and delivering training and education to clinicians to ensure that service members, veterans, and their families receive quality behavioral healthcare that meets their unique needs.
Responsibilities
Provide subject matter expertise in integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors.
Serve as the lead facilitator on recurring, two-week synchronous virtual training on the prevention of harmful behaviors in the military, aiming to establish a common base of knowledge, skills, and resources within the Department of Defense’s prevention workforce for selecting, implementing, and evaluating research-based prevention activities.
Deliver lectures and facilitate individual and group activities to deepen participant understanding and application of core concepts.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute multiple training events.
Assist with coordination of training materials, presenters, and logistical needs to ensure smooth delivery of the training curriculum.
Actively contribute to team projects, including programming, strategic communications, metrics, and process improvements.
Contribute to CDP's educational initiatives through subject matter expert blog posts, podcasts, videos, infographics, asynchronous training materials, and other learning activities. Prepare scholarly manuscripts for publication and present at national and/or international conferences to disseminate CDP work.
Document project scope and plan, confirming objectives, technologies, schedules, milestones and deadlines, funding, and resources with key stakeholders. Produce and distribute project status reports and documents.
Assist with scheduling conference calls, video teleconferences, and meetings for project team meetings and coordination with CDP staff and outside parties.
Act as point of contact for outside organizations, vendors, and subcontractors for services and products.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor.
Education and Experience
Master's Degree required. Social work, counseling, public health, psychology, and behavioral health related fields preferred.
Minimum of 0-2 years experience required.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of the field of integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors, including sexual assault, harassment, domestic abuse, child abuse, and suicide.
Experience delivering professional presentations to adult learners, engaging learners with varied experience levels, responding effectively to questions, and conveying information with clarity.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including crafting professional correspondence, developing educational and marketing materials, producing reports, and providing briefings to internal and external stakeholders.
Strong organization and time management skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 public trust background investigation.
Physical Capabilities
Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods.
Work Environment
This position will take place in a remote office setting.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $73,800-$120,000. Actual salary will be determined based on experience, education, etc.
