Project Lead/Instructor
to oversee and facilitate a recurring, two-week synchronous virtual training on integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors in the military. This position will be in support of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences’ Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP), which is based in Bethesda, MD. The
Project Lead/Instructor
will assist with activities related to CDP’s mission, which is to lead the development of a community of military culturally mindful and clinically competent providers through the delivery of high-quality training and education, the convening of experts, and the dissemination of research-based treatment and the latest topics in military behavioral health. Responsibilities Provide subject matter expertise in integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors. Serve as the lead facilitator on recurring, two-week synchronous virtual training on the prevention of harmful behaviors in the military. Deliver lectures and facilitate individual and group activities to deepen participant understanding and application of core concepts. Collaborate with key stakeholders to plan and execute multiple training events. Assist with coordination of training materials, presenters, and logistical needs to ensure a smooth delivery of the training curriculum. Actively contribute to team projects, including programming, strategic communications, metrics, and process improvements. Contribute to CDP’s educational initiatives through subject matter expert blog posts, podcasts, videos, infographics, asynchronous training materials, and other learning activities. Document project scope and plan, confirming objectives, technologies, schedules, milestones and deadlines, funding, and available resources with key stakeholders. Assist with the scheduling of conference calls, video teleconferences, and meetings for project team meetings and between CDP staff and outside parties. Act as point of contact for outside organizations, vendors, and subcontractors for services and products. Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. Qualifications Education and Experience Master's Degree required. Social work, counseling, public health, psychology, and behavioral health related fields preferred. Minimum of 0-2 years experience required. Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of the field of integrated primary prevention of harmful behaviors, including sexual assault, harassment, domestic abuse, child abuse, and suicide. Experience delivering professional presentations to adult learners, including an ability to engage learners with varied experience levels, respond effectively to questions, and convey information with clarity. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to craft professional correspondence, develop educational and marketing materials, produce reports, and provide briefings and updates to both internal stakeholders and external partners. Strong organization and time management skills. Ability to obtain and maintain a T1 public trust background investigation. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand or sit at a computer for prolonged periods. Work Environment This position will take place in a remote office setting. Compensation The annual salary range for this position is $73,800-$120,000.
