Overview

The Office of Information Technology at the Dell Medical School is looking for a Senior Integration Architect. Under the direction of the CTO, this position is a strategic leader for the technology department and the broader University of Texas Medical Center, anchored by Dell Medical School, facilitating the overall integration architecture, design and implementation of platforms and capabilities to meet the needs of a new Academic Medical Center. The right candidate translates vision into tangible roadmaps and leads multi-year integration programs across education, research, clinical, administrative, digital, IT transformation, and hospital build. This role emphasizes multi-year EHR, ERP, Digital and IT transformation programs and requires collaboration across UT Austin main campus IT, UT System, and other healthcare organizations across UT. Occasional travel to UT locations can be expected. Location: Austin, TX; Weekly hours: 40; FLSA: Exempt; Earliest Start Date: Immediately; Position Duration: Expected to Continue. Responsibilities

Lead integration requirements development activities and drive integration technology portfolio cataloging and optimization. Translate requirements into technical solutions and deliver global and local integration designs for key initiatives; provide architectural oversight of project execution. Lead creation of core architecture deliverables, including integration principles and policies, platform strategy and roadmaps, standards and templates, and a comprehensive integration catalog. Map and triage current integration solutions against the platform landscape; develop a roadmap for phase-out and evolution; evaluate new integration requests and determine platform fit and implementation approach. Design integration architectures for EHR, ERP, and IT transformation initiatives; support research needs with appropriate architectures; prepare executive-level presentation materials to communicate roadmaps. Manage time and effort across multiple interdependent technology and business transformations within a multi-year horizon. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field; 10 years of related experience including prior experience as an Integration Architect or similar Leadership gravitas; demonstrated experience developing and overseeing enterprise-scale integration architecture and design Broad knowledge of technology trends, robust understanding of cyber threats and mitigation via architecture and design; vendor relationship management; experience leading IT transformation initiatives Strong communication skills; ability to articulate trade-offs to business, clinical, technical, and executive audiences Independent stakeholder management and coalition building; ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment Preferred Qualifications

Master's degree in a related field Experience in hospital, medical education, research, or related healthcare fields Experience with developing and managing strategic partnerships with integration technology vendors Employment Details
