Overview THE DEPARTMENT OF PEDIATRICS, Division of Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Medicine, Medical Behavioral Unit is seeking clinicians to provide inpatient care in the Medical Behavioral (Eating Disorder) Unit at Rady Children's Hospital San Diego.

UCSD/Rady Children's Health Medical Behavioral Unit (MBU) provides evidence-based, trauma-informed, culturally aware, and confidential care for children, adolescents and young adults up to age 26 years. The inpatient Medical Behavioral Unit (MBU) focuses on medical stabilization of youth and young adults with eating disorders and nutrition-related conditions, including severe malnutrition. We provide high-level care with a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, psychiatrists, dietitians, and behaviorally trained nurses. The MBU is a major national referral center and works closely with the UC San Diego Eating Disorder Treatment Center, where intensive outpatient treatment is provided and clinical trials are conducted. Our team of physicians work closely with psychologists, who are on the unit 10 hrs/day, 7 days/week to care for youth with chronic and complex nutrition-related conditions and co-morbid behavioral or psychiatric conditions.

Candidates must have an MD or equivalent and be board certified/eligible by the American Board of Pediatrics or Internal Medicine.
