This position is responsible for day to day administrative support to the Div. of Wildlife Conservation, Region 5 office located in Nome. This includes operations in the areas of accounting, travel, procurement and payroll. Region 5 has area offices located in Nome, Bethel, Kotzebue, Utqiagvik, and assists staff in Fairbanks and Anchorage. The position works under the general supervision of the Fish and Game Coordinator and working with the Administrative Officer. Our organization, mission, and culture

This position is located in the Nome, ADF&G office. Daily work involves One Card and Invoice processing, personnel/hiring paperwork and assisting division employees with purchasing and travel questions and completing procurement documents. The individual selected will be joining a team of professionals who support each other in their positions. Who we are looking for

We are looking for an individual with the following knowledge, skills, and abilities: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe) and IRIS FIN/HRM. Attention to detail and accuracy and ability to prioritize workload Excellent organizational skills, particularly of information stored electronically. Demonstrated communication skills, both written and oral. Ability to multitask and respond to routine duties as well as a wide range of special requests, meeting deadlines in an environment with frequent interruptions. This position may be in possession of, or have access to, firearms/ammunition. One year of clerical work experience maintaining records that included using computer systems and performing basic arithmetic calculations. Substitutions: Successful completion of a formal vocational education program in accounting or bookkeeping will substitute for the required experience. Post secondary education from an accredited college will substitute for the required experience (3 semester/4 quarter hours equal one month). Required documents
