Customs Brokerage Rep II: Remote in Louisville area
Job description and requirements for UPS Customs Brokerage Rep II. This role troubleshoots and communicates documentation discrepancy issues with customers and foreign origins, audits commercial documents, applies harmonized tariff schedule codes for accurate duty assessments, and handles general customs brokerage activities and data entry tasks.
Responsibilities
Prepare Customs entries and follow up with the clearance process on all entries prepared.
Communicate documentation discrepancies to client and supervisor.
Daily follow up on documentation discrepancy issues, demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with customers and foreign origins, both verbally and in writing.
Establish and maintain client relationships.
Requirements / Qualifications
High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent.
Basic knowledge of customs operations, laws and regulations, and other government departments - preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer.
