Human Resource Consultant 2 (PCN 25N25029) in Anchorage or Juneau, AK. This nonpermanent position supports the Alaska Marine Highway System (AMHS) with advanced-level HR guidance and policy expertise under the supervision of the Human Resource Consultant 5. What you will be doing
Provide expert HR guidance on policies and procedures, personnel management, employee and labor relations, bargaining agreements, classification, and absence management. Support managers and supervisors of AMHS and contribute to shaping the future of AMHS operations. Organization, mission, and culture

The ideal candidate will possess competencies in the following areas: Employee Relations:
Knowledge of laws, rules, regulations, case law, and practices related to employee conduct, performance, and dispute resolution. Conflict Management:
Encourages constructive disagreement, anticipates and prevents counterproductive confrontations, and resolves conflicts effectively. Oral and Written Communication:
Delivers clear, effective communication to diverse audiences; presents information clearly; listens and responds appropriately. Additional competencies required include accountability, decision making, interpersonal skills, influence, personnel and human resources knowledge, and problem solving, as described in the competency framework for this job class. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications are described using competency-based MQs. Education and/or experience in HR management, business administration, or organizational leadership, plus relevant professional HR experience, are typically required.
