Experience in this Discipline:
Six (6) years of progressive experience demonstrating the required
Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s degree and/or
Functional Responsibility:
The Application Programmer - Level II is responsible for activities such as program design, coding, testing, debugging or documentation, for example:
(a) Designing and building web pages using a variety of graphics software applications, techniques, and tools.
(b) Designing and developing user interface features, site animation, and special-effects elements. Contributes to the design group's efforts to enhance the look and feel of the organization's online offerings.
(c) Designs the website to support the organization's strategies and goals relative to external communications.
This individual has technical knowledge and responsibility for all phases of applications systems analysis and programming. Understands the business or function for which application is designed. The Application Programmer - Level II may write programs according to specifications, which may be provided by Engineers, technical architects, or other computer scientists. The Application Programmer - Level II updates, repairs, modifies and expands existing computer programs.
OTHER SILLS, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES THE CONTRACT EMPLOYEE SHALL PERFORM BUT NOT LIMITED TO:
Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to capture, refine, and prioritize requirements
Translate business requirements into technical specs and deliver working features iteratively
Build, enhance, and maintain web applications with an emphasis on reliability and performance
Write clean, maintainable, well-documented code with unit and integration tests
Participate in code reviews and apply secure coding and best practices
Plan and execute release activities, including environment readiness and rollback plans
Monitor and optimize application performance, scalability, and resource usage
Create and maintain technical documentation (architecture, APIs, deployment runbooks)
Provide production support, triage incidents, and implement preventative fixes
Expert in .NET Framework and .NET Core
Advanced C# and/or VB.NET
Strong client-side and server-side validation techniques
Solid object-oriented design and development
Understanding of modern web app architecture and fundamentals
Familiar with design patterns and layered architecture
IIS application deployment, configuration, and security
Web app migration from .NET Framework to .NET Core
Data access with ADO.NET and Entity Framework
Skilled in troubleshooting and root-cause analysis
Expertise in .Net Framework and .Net
Coordinate with QA for test planning, defect triage, and acceptance criteria validation
