Senior Corporate Counsel of Contracts
to support
Research and Development
operations at their headquarters in Alameda County, CA. Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts supporting R&D, including confidentiality agreements, collaboration agreements, licensing agreements, consulting agreements, materials transfer agreements, clinical trial agreements, vendor services agreements, and manufacturing agreements for cGMP drug supply. Serve as the primary legal contact for ongoing agreements tied to R&D initiatives. Advise internal stakeholders by identifying and communicating operational and legal risks. Build strong relationships across the business to support effective communication and collaboration. Experience Requirements
JD from an ABA-accredited law school and admitted to practice law, preferably in California. Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in life sciences preferred. 6–8 years of experience in a law firm or in-house within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry. Demonstrated expertise in drafting and negotiating complex contracts supporting drug research and development. At the time of this posting, the anticipated salary range for this role is $250K to $285K, an annual merit bonus, and new hire equity grants in the forms of
restricted stock units
(RSUs). The company offers a comprehensive benefits program, including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) with company contributions, and voluntary benefit options. Paid time off, sick days, paid holidays as well as other leave as required by federal, state, or local law. Please note that this is an on-site position requiring 4 to 5 day in office.
