Assistant Nurse Manager – BSN | Ambulatory Care (Non-Union) Full-Time: 9am-5pm Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn’s leading healthcare system, serves over 250,000 patients annually across three hospitals, 1,800 physicians and healthcare professionals, and more than 80 community-based practices and outpatient centers. $130,000.00/yr - $135,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Oversee daily outpatient primary care operations to ensure safe, high-quality patient care and efficient patient flow. Supervise nursing staff, lead team meetings, and coordinate staff education, training, and competency compliance. Manage staffing plans, schedules, and recruitment processes to ensure adequate coverage and team performance. Monitor and analyze clinical/operational metrics to drive process improvements and quality initiatives. Collaborate on budget planning, optimize resource use, and ensure fiscal performance. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., DOH, Joint Commission) and maintain accurate documentation. Promote a culture of learning, mentoring, and professional growth within the nursing team. Participate in cross-functional teams to enhance outpatient service delivery, patient satisfaction, and evidence-based solutions. Qualifications
Active NYS RN License. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Minimum 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience in an outpatient or ambulatory primary care setting. Experience working with both adult and pediatric patient populations. Knowledge of Article 28 regulations, Joint Commission Standards, Value-Based Care, DOH regulations, and Vaccines for Children (VFC) program. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in analyzing data and solving clinical/operational problems. Competency in EMR systems and regulatory compliance.
