You in this Role -

As the Director of Supply Chain at Unusual Machines, you’ll design, build, and lead the systems that move our products—motors, headsets, drones, and components—through their entire lifecycle. From raw materials to work-in-process (WIP) to finished goods, you’ll ensure every item is in the right place at the right time, whether destined for internal production lines, enterprise partners, or retail sales. This is one of the most cross-functional leadership roles in the company, interfacing daily with production, finance, customer service, and quality teams. If you’re a supply chain leader who thrives in fast-scaling environments, this role will give you the chance to architect and run a global operation from the ground up. What You’ll Do

Build and lead a complete supply chain system spanning inbound, storage, WIP, internal transfers, and fulfillment. Oversee receiving teams across multiple sites handling inbound materials, sub-components, and finished goods. Manage fulfillment teams responsible for enterprise orders, retail packaging, and direct-to-consumer e-commerce. Establish and maintain clear workflows for internal transfers. (example: receiving → storage → WIP → finished goods → fulfillment) Implement ERP (NetSuite) for full visibility of materials and inventory across the business. Oversee inbound and outbound quality control processes and ensure operational alignment with production standards. Collaborate closely with finance, production, and customer service to maintain accuracy in inventory and smooth order execution. Hire, train, and develop a high-performing supply chain team, from managers to front-line staff. Define and enforce best practices for storage, inventory accuracy, and materials flow. Establish interim workflows and processes while systems are being built or upgraded. What You’ll Bring

8+ years in supply chain management, with proven leadership experience in fast-growing or complex environments. Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite strongly preferred). Hands-on knowledge of retail ecommerce platforms (Shopify preferred) and enterprise order fulfillment. Deep understanding of materials flow across raw materials, WIP, and finished goods. Strong background in both enterprise and retail supply chain operations. Ability to collaborate across functions and bring clarity to ambiguous processes. Experience leading multi-site operations and geographically dispersed teams. Nice to have - knowledge of drones or consumer electronics. What You’ll Gain

You’ll report directly to the COO and work closely with leaders across production, finance, and customer service. You’ll build and lead a team that includes managers for receiving, fulfillment, and inventory control, along with the front-line staff who keep materials moving. One More Thing
