Overview
Senior Wealth Strategist, Foundation & Institutional Advisors — role focused on selling investment management, advisory, asset servicing, and consultative services to foundations, endowments, and nonprofit organizations with investable assets of $10 - $250 million. Responsible for generating new recurring revenue, identifying, cultivating, and converting prospects into profitable client relationships, and acting as a technical expert on institutional investment strategies and products. Major Duties
Sell investment management, advisory, and asset servicing services to the institutional market, focusing on foundations, endowments, and non-profit organizations with investable assets of $10 - $75 million in Florida, Georgia and South Carolina. Utilize business network and internal contacts to identify prospective clients. Actively call in-market to raise brand awareness, obtain leads, and qualify prospective prospects. Respond to RFPs (Request for Proposal) using Central Sales Support; ensure completion and delivery to the prospect. Coordinate and conduct sales presentations with participation by appropriate internal professionals. Maintain in-depth knowledge of issues affecting the target market to position oneself as a technical expert and resource. Participate in industry conferences and programs, including speaking engagements. Identify opportunities to cross-sell other services and products to the target market. Work closely with local management to leverage the network and ensure client retention. Take responsibility for complex and sensitive client and account activities as assigned." Research prospects’ financial picture and potential needs to determine how to best provide service. Develop rapport with prospects and arrange meetings to continue the sales process; present bank product materials to prospective clients or designated liaisons (e.g., attorney, CPA). Develop and maintain an understanding of applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations to ensure compliance of financial planning activities. Knowledge
Thorough understanding of the investment, custody, and consulting products used by foundations, institutions, endowments, and nonprofit organizations. Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Understanding of market segment considerations in selecting and utilizing professional money managers and custodians. Knowledge of philanthropic and planned giving strategies is helpful. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations acquired through education and work experience. Analytical and sales skills to relate customer asset situations to specific products. Interpersonal skills to understand prospect needs and respond with appropriate solutions. Experience
